striving for satisfaction
Posted by Rebecca | Filed under family, gardening, tarot
I want to focus and be happy this coming week. Ideally today (sure would be nice!).
Maybe the best thing I can do is to focus on my home life again — my husband, my daughter… I s’pose I could even do some garden work (yuck!). This would surely make C happy, get L outside and playing in the sprinkler and sandbox, help the yard look spiffy again… *sigh*
What must be done, must be done.
Blargh.
Besides, keeping things happy here will hopefully carry me through another week of work. Current events are reporting professional workers in the U.S. with a job satisfaction at an all time low, with 40% reporting unhappiness and general depression with their jobs. Is it any wonder, with budgets slashed and jobs cut, and expectations at an all time high? I would’ve guessed it more like 80%. At least around my office…
And with schools back in sessions, there are reports of the school supply lists including things like copier paper, garbage bags. Toilet paper?!?!?! Whatever happened to the days of a box with a glue stick and a bag of crayons?
…
My dear Hermit is reaffirming that I can get back to my comfort zone of logic over heart, as long as I talk to my sweetie and not keep things pent up, we’ll be okay.
And if I get going on the damn garden.

Hi Rebecca,
It’s lovely to see my Signature Spread in use! Your photographs of it look fabulous, as does your Magical Forest deck, I’ve never seen it before – it looks really nice.
Thank you for reading with my tarot spread, glad you’ve enjoyed using it
Warm wishes,
Catherine

Hi Catherine!
I do love the deck, the cards always make me smile no matter which one shows up. Helps with the positive attitude some days, ya know?
I’m doing my best to keep me tarot journal up, it’s full of my “what if it means this” or “um. uh. this + that = some crazy possible interpretation” but I think it would bore even the most adventurous reader. So, that’s for my eyes only. LOL.
Thanks so much for stopping by (posting pics of spread and of cards should be fine, with credit, right?)!

And… what really threw me for a loop was, the very next day I did my usual 3-card spread (helps me learn in little chunks)… and lo and behold the Ace of Cups rev / The Hermit / 2 of Cups appeared.
I shuffled/cut/shuffled/etc… I promise!

You know that happened last week on the FanPage on Facebook – we’ve been doing 3 card combos using the Transparent Tarot and I asked how the Mercury Rx would affect my Tarot Elements Friends and drew three cards. The night before one of our Friends had pulled exactly the same cards using exactly the same question! It was uncanny – so I wouldn’t have doubted you, tarot does do some pretty amazing things

I’ve had that happen several times over the years, the same cards appearing. That’s what made my interest shift from tarot being a form of entertainment to something more fulfilling and nurturing. Keep it up Rebecca!

It certainly does give me pause. Consider my shuffling techniques. Browse YouTube for other ways to shuffle.
Maybe check out the latest video on cats playing under the water faucet.

What was I doing again?
