I control me.
No one else has the same power over myself as I do. Not the words I hear. Not the images I see. Not the actions of others around me.
I choose to react.
Anger, or forgiveness.
Hate, or love.
Inaction, or responsibility.
How do you choose to react?

It’s so easy for me to get spun up over other people: how they affect loved ones, how they force certain changes in my life, how they make me shrivel up inside… and then I remind myself that they’re learning how to *live* just like I am. We all make mistakes — Lord knows I’ve made my share of them! And all I can do is ride with it, and watch my own steps.
